Client: City of Cave Junction, Oregon
Application: The Lagoons at Cave Junction have never been dredged since 1998, they were nearing their limit in sludge when BioLynceus approached them to help reduce sludge with bugs, rather than mechanical dredge. They started applying PBII from BioLynceus on April 2021, they were hand dosing PBII directly at the inlet at the decant. ¾ gallon to start and then ¼ gallon every other day. Sludge Blanket was at 9ft with 3ft water cap, today August 4th, 2022, the blanket is at 3.5 to 5ft.
Results: The BioLynceus PBII product helped them reduce sludge by 50% thus reducing the need to use mechanical dredge at this time.
