Reducing Odor and FOG at a Local Dairy – Testimonial

Brinjac Engineering, Inc. worked with a local dairy in PA to utilize a biological product which would handle some of their specific issues: Odor, fats/oil grease and enhanced treatment of dairy process.

Biolynceus observed results are as follows:

  1. I observed the existing wet well old pump station which previously was covered in grease/fats and very odorus. In May 2014 – about 1 year after adding Biolynceus at the dairy into the pump station – we demo’d the pump station and laborers had to enter the pump station. The entire wet well was now clean and grease free.

  2. We have been under construction at the dairy for more than 9 months to place a new pretreatment process into service and because of this – the existing digester was demo’d and the existing treatment tank had to hold all of the sludge solids. Biolynceus product was added to ensure that sludge in the aeration tank was digested under aeration and that no sludge wasting was needed for more than nine months. The product also aided in no detriment to the process and no odors occurred during this time.
